I have been using muffin paper cups since, and I always manage to get muffins that rise tall with a nice dome even for muffins with jam. Those paper liners for cupcakes yields flatter muffins. Also, till now, I do not own any muffin pans, I used an old hand me down pan with very shallow holes, so I think it could also be the reason why.Happy Homebakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15310704979379806678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805570821469912515.post-24314679834219561522012-07-05T15:04:21.492+08:002012-07-05T15:04:21.492+08:00Hi HHB, any idea why the muffins with kaya spread ...Hi HHB, any idea why the muffins with kaya spread did not rise? Is it normal that muffins filled with spread or jam can't rise tall when baked? I experimented making muffins with jam filling before but they turned out rather flat..

Cheers,

ChristineChristinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02051674003042288559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805570821469912515.post-88651412338148488822011-08-24T07:25:43.514+08:002011-08-24T07:25:43.514+08:00Hi Sally, yes, u can use plain milk, the chocolate...Hi Sally, yes, u can use plain milk, the chocolate chips are optional.Happy Homebakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15310704979379806678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805570821469912515.post-79410300154303970252011-08-23T23:25:43.821+08:002011-08-23T23:25:43.821+08:00Hi,

The batter should be very lumpy, you just need to give a few quick stir with a spatula or wooden spoon. Another possible cause will be the oven temperature, do make sure your oven has been preheated, and do use an oven thermometer.Happy Homebakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15310704979379806678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805570821469912515.post-47244487412512665322008-10-17T09:03:00.000+08:002008-10-17T09:03:00.000+08:00Hi HHBI tried the coffee muffin but the texture tu...Hi HHB

I tried the coffee muffin but the texture turn out to be kueh like!!
